The 18-135 STM is actually quite a decent lens for crop cameras. The 24-105 is a little sharper, but not a big difference. You obviously give up f/4 on the long end, but you also gain 105-135mm which is nice, but much more importantly you gain 18-24mm. The 24-105L is also better built and has weather sealing.
